Italy Beat England to claim Euro 2020 Title

Italy, the underdog, beat England at its home ground in the 16th edition of the Euro Cup.
Beating England by 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the final on Sunday night, Italy made a glorious victory over England.
After 90 minutes and additional 30 minutes, the game ended in a 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium, which opened the way for a penalty shootout on which Italy won the toss and decided to field.

Italy’s Dominico Berardi, Leonardo Bunichi, and Federico Bernadeschi scored for their team in the shootouts, whereas Andre Bellotti and Jorgenho’s shots were blocked by England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Likewise, England’s Harry Kane and Harry Maguire bagged one goal each for England when Marcus Rashford’s shot missed the post, and Jadon Sancho and Saka Bakuio’s shot was blocked by Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donarumma.
In the first half of the game, England seemed to take charge of the match as Luke Shawley scored in the second minute to give England the lead. He scored a one-touch goal on Kieran Trippier’s cross.

However, in the 67th minute of the game, Leonardo Bunichi of Italy scored a goal to make it 1-1.
With the victory over England, Italy has managed to maintain its unbeaten success run for 34 games. Italy had broken its own record 82 years ago, which was the record for the most unbeaten matches in 30 games from October 1935 to July 1939.
Italy beat three-time champions Spain by 4-2 on penalties in the semifinals to make its way towards the finals. England, on the other hand, defeated Denmark in the semifinals to secure a match against Italy. England had beaten Denmark by 2-1 in extra time.
